					<description>Nice. The cool thing it does at home is that it makes accessing files on a remote server very close to the same speed as a local disk. The only issue I've had is that there are some Vista bugs that make copying big files (&gt;2GB) really crappy. At some point the OS will get the networking stuff right so I can leave all my media off in the closet and have fewer noisy hard-drives at the TV machine, etc.</description>

					<description>Back at your alma mater, we've wired the newest residence halls back with gig to the desktop, but haven't yet taken to supplying cat 6 drops since gig-capable NICs were not the norm. It's nearing time to rethink that, though I think the residence are more interested in optimizing their various gaming experiences than they are in pure file transfer rates.  :-)</description>
