New Parallels is released

Parallels has released a new version of their Mac virtualization software. Overall I’ve een pretty happy with my MacBook, but there have been a few ups and downs. In any case I’ve been running Vista under bootcamp the last few weeks and was hoping to take advantage of the new feature that lets me run the same OS install inside the MacOS in a VM.
The sad news is that appears to not be supported. Parallels won’t let me select the Boot Camp option unless I’ve selected WinXP as my OS, and I’ve seen several forum posts about it corrupting your OS. I can’t afford the time to fix it all so I’m not going to take the chance at this time. If someone else has gotten this to work, please let me know.

New library for WPF/E

One of the things I’ve been working on lately is a controls library for WPF/E. WPF/E is very cool, but its also very basic and I’m very interested in how the community builds up a set of standard script librarires like the prototype and effects libraries that are commonly used with normal HTML scripting.
I’ve posted about the first build of the WPF/E library over on the Launch21 blog. This first build is very basic, but its the usual “get it out in public and see what people link of it” thing.
Hopefully the dust has settled a bit over here since the WordPress switch-over. People reading this in an RSS reader will likely see some old posts get recycled as I fix up a few things from the import.
