Plugins for WordPress

posted in Technology |
In the comments yesterday Dave suggests three plug-ins for WordPress. I probably don’t need the backup one since I control my own mysql server and have it automatically run daily backups via the mysql admin tool. I’m not sure how necessary the caching one is given that I’ve got plenty of server horsepower to spare here (not shared hosting, although it is on the same box as CalendarData.com, albeit in a different virtual machine).
But the suggestion for a better text editor is well received. Compared to the hosted environments I’ve played with (TypePad, Blogger) the default editor here really sucks. I wish I had this suggestion  last week when I was struggling posting on Launch21. The worst was trying to post code/xml, since the default editor strips out all the tags no matter what.
